一、院系簡介

碳中和研究院是北京大學(xué)直屬的獨(dú)立實(shí)體研究機(jī)構(gòu)，是學(xué)校匯聚全球碳中和高端研究人才，整合院系碳中和研究與人才培養(yǎng)力量，統(tǒng)籌建設(shè)世界一流碳中和學(xué)科、服務(wù)國家碳達(dá)峰碳中和重大戰(zhàn)略的核心支撐平臺，也是學(xué)校深化文理工醫(yī)多學(xué)科交叉、培養(yǎng)碳中和相關(guān)學(xué)科一流人才的新引擎。碳中和研究院重點(diǎn)布局于氣候變化與生態(tài)環(huán)境、雙碳關(guān)鍵技術(shù)與能源轉(zhuǎn)型、雙碳經(jīng)濟(jì)政策與治理等三大前沿學(xué)科領(lǐng)域。

The Institute of Carbon Neutrality is an independent research entity in Peking University. It is the core platform of the University to serve China’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals and to build a world-class discipline on carbon neutrality sciences, through gathering high-end research talents, integrating researches and education on carbon neutrality across departments and colleges. It is an emerging science center for inter-disciplinary researches across physical sciences, engineering, liberal arts and medical sciences, and for training the first-class talents on carbon neutrality. At the moment, the Institute of Carbon Neutrality focuses on developing cutting edge researches on the three aspects: climate change and ecological environment, key technology and energy transformation for carbon neutrality, and the economic policy and governance for carbon neutrality.
